We Started off calling it Daves Diner nobody had heard  of the name or equated it with pizzas,then we tried
the name Argyll pizza at Daves Diner and  finally is now
ARGYLL PIZZA RESTAURANT.
the restaurant has been open since April 2000
great things are ahead for 2004 we are doubling the size of the present site whereas we have 40 seats we will have
nearer 100 with a restaurant licence & Lounge waiting area.
We are great believers in customer service.
the majority of our business is captured through word of mouth with a little boost now and again from local advertising.if you would like to raise any comments please contact us through our contact page.

Argyll Pizza provides a service second to none with years of experience they employ a team of talented people to ensure that all the food is of the highest standards.
All the food is prepared on the premises to ensure the flavours are always the same.
But no pizza is ever the same as the pizza's are made individually by different members of staff with differing hand sizes so different portions are used but all the pizza's taste great.
If for any reason you are not happy with your pizza will do our utmost to rectify the problem. thank you for taking the time to view our site.

Welcome to Argyll Pizza,in 1973 or there abouts 2 Cheshire hotel Staff went to Italy in an old van and brought back with them the First pizza oven which was put in the centre of the newly built public house called The Argyll & Sutherland Highlander inn.
At first the Chef had to give samples away because potential customers had never heard of pizza let alone ate them.
Their popularity grew purely by word of mouth till they were producing about 3000 pizza a week.

By the early 80s the
management George
& Ronnie Realised
that To entice people
who would'nt eat
pizza they would have
to diversify the menu.
This is where Chef
Dave Muir comes to
the Argyll to add other
great dishes to the menu
& he became the
PIZZA MAN, The front man
for 10 great years & extended
the menu by 10 pizzas.
in 1995 the pub was
Dramatically taken over,
The new owners decided to
go National with the pizza
concept.when asked whether
they were putting dough
machines in all the pubs they
said no we are using frozen
pizza bases.
George,Ronnie & Dave tried
to argue in favor of fresh bases
but the new owners were adamant.
After 5 weeks the sales were down
to10 pizza a week.Dave stayed on
for another 2 not so great years
then left to do various other jobs.
Then he was left some money by
his late Father & he realised his dream
A Restaurant to serve  Pizzas the
only pizza he can make. ARGYLL PIZZA.
